Our Clinical Review Commitment
Every health article published on this website is reviewed by practising, UAE-licensed Ayurvedic physicians to ensure factual precision, clinical safety, and strict alignment with Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) medical standards.
Who writes and reviews our content
Our health articles are drafted by our content team and reviewed before publication by Ayurvedic physicians practising at Kottakkal Ayurvedic Treatment Center.
Every reviewing physician holds a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) qualification or higher, and a current licence to practise issued by the UAE health authority governing their branch — the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) or the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Reviewers are practising clinicians at our Ajman, Deira, Satwa and Sharjah branches, not external writers. Content on a given condition is reviewed by a physician who treats that condition in clinic.
What clinical review covers
Before an article is published, the reviewing physician checks that:
- the description of the condition, its causes and its symptoms is accurate
- any Ayurvedic concepts, classical references and therapy descriptions are correctly represented
- treatment information reflects what is actually offered at our branches
- no claim promises a cure, a guaranteed result, or a specific timeframe for improvement
- the article directs readers to seek clinical assessment where that is the appropriate step
Where a topic sits outside Ayurvedic scope, or where symptoms described could indicate a condition needing urgent medical attention, the article is required to say so plainly.
Our sources
Our content draws on classical Ayurvedic texts, contemporary published research, and the clinical experience of our practising physicians. Where an article cites figures, measurements or research findings, the source is referenced on the page so you can check it yourself.
How often we update
Each article carries a “reviewed” date. Health content is re-reviewed at least once every 12 months, and sooner where clinical understanding, our treatment offering, or UAE health regulations change. If an article is found to be out of date, we update or withdraw it rather than leave it published.
What this content is and is not
Our articles are published for general information. They are not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for consulting a physician.
Ayurvedic medicines should not be self-selected. Individual assessment matters: the same condition can call for different treatment in different people, and response to treatment varies. Nothing on this site should be used to start, stop or change any treatment — Ayurvedic or conventional — without speaking to a qualified physician first.
Urgent Medical Attention
If you are experiencing severe, sudden or worsening symptoms, seek medical care immediately rather than relying on information published here.
Commercial independence
Our health articles are not paid placements. We do not accept payment from third parties to feature, recommend or omit a treatment, product or brand in our clinical content. Where an article mentions services offered at our own branches, that is disclosed in the article itself.
Corrections and feedback
If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, unclear, or out of date, we want to know.
Email info@kottakkalayurveda.ae with the article title and what you believe is wrong. Corrections to clinical information are reviewed by a physician, and articles that need changing are updated with a revised review date.
