Navarakizhi Therapy

Navarakizhi is a traditional Ayurvedic fomentation therapy that uses warm boluses of cooked medicated rice that is Shastika, which is cooked in milk and an herbal decoction prepared with Sida rhombifolia. Four balls of cooked rice are made and put into linen bags, called kizhis, and these are used to apply warm fomentations to the body.
